Creativity Shell is Looking for Five Humble ISD Schools for After School Sewing/Textile Arts Classes .
Attention ALL Humble ISD Schools, the Creativity Shell is looking for 5 schools interested in having a mobile sewing studio at their school for a 15-week after-school program.
The Creativity Shell is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization on a mission to use creative trades to educate and inspire the next generation of makers. The organization teaches sewing/textile arts and other trades classes to students in public libraries, schools and shelters that rescue children from homelessness and human trafficking. Their programs are designed to educate and inspire children by teaching them essential life and practical skills.
Classes will be held in the Creativity Shell’s mobile sewing/art studio. The Creativity Shell will also provide all the materials, supplies, machines, teacher and its own electricity to teach the classes.
The schools will provide a suitable place to park the mobile studio either on or near the school grounds.
Parents will be required to register and pay for the cost of the program and class times would be from 3:30 PM– 4:30 PM and/or 4:45 PM – 5:45 PM.
Funds raised from the Creativity Shell Mobile Studio are used to pay for the cost of teaching mobile classes at different shelters in Houston that rescue children from homelessness and human trafficking.
Students enrolled in Spring 2019 Creativity Shell classes will be eligible to participate in the organization’s annual Gala/Fashion Show Creativity Rocks – The Orient Express.
