Sewing/Textile Arts Teachers Wanted!

We are hiring teachers for the 2016-2017 school year!

The Creativity Shell is a registered 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization that is on a mission to use creative trades to educate and inspire earth’s most precious resources…our kids! Through sponsorships, fundraising and donations, we are bringing creative trades such as sewing, woodworking and other trades back into the education system to inspire children as we teach them these (soon to be) forgotten trades.

We are looking for creative sewing/textile art teachers to teach classes for our organization at various locations in and around Houston for the 2016-2017 school year. Classes are taught in local schools, public libraries or at other non-profit organizations. All applicants must be experienced in sewing and/or textile arts and must be able to submit to and pass a criminal background check.

Our sewing/textile arts lessons are prepared for the classes and our organization provides all the machines and supplies the teachers will need to successfully teach classes. Teachers are also encouraged to use their own creativity and sewing/textile arts expertise to help plan new lessons for students to enjoy.

Interested teachers, please submit your resume and/or sample of your work to sdaniel@creativityshell.org for consideration.
