In their continuing effort to find creative ways to educate and inspire the next generation of makers, the Creativity Shell will be launching a mobile cooking after-school program in Humble ISD Schools!

The Creativity Shell is a non-profit organization that teaches sewing/textile arts and other creative trades to children in their private studios, schools, community centers, libraries as well as shelters that rescue children from homelessness and human trafficking.  Their programs are designed to educate and inspire children while teaching essential life and practical skills at the same time.

The cooking schedule will go as followed:

Mondays:
Eagle Springs Elementary School 3:30 – 4:30
Eagle Springs Elementary School 4:45 – 5:45

Tuesdays:
Fall Creek Elementary School 3:30 PM – 4:30 PM
Fall Creek Elementary School 4:45 PM – 5:45 PM

Wednesdays:
Groves Elementary School 3:30 PM – 4:30 PM
Groves Elementary School 4:45 PM – 5:45 PM

Thursdays:
Fall Creek Elementary School 3:30 PM – 4:30 PM
Fall Creek Elementary School 4:45 PM – 5:45 PM

The cooking program will not affect the sewing/textile arts programs in any way as they will be sending both Jerry and Sherry for cooking and sewing classes.

Students enrolled in both a sewing and cooking class will not need to be picked up in-between classes.

The cooking semester will last for a period of 8-weeks and the cost for the semester is $160.  All materials and supplies are included in the costs.
Both Jerry and Sherry have fantastic built in kitchens so we will all wait to see which Bus will be used for sewing and which one for cooking.  Either way, this is an amazing opportunity for the students and the organization hopes to see many new and returning faces in both of their classes.
