Creativity Shell Celebrates 1st Birthday in Kingwood Studio!
Well…. They did move already!
The Creativity Shell is celebrating their 1st birthday in their Kingwood Studio/Makerspace for kids! Despite moving a few stores down from their original location 6 months into their lease, the organization would like to invite the Kingwood community to their 1-Year Birthday Party on Saturday, September 2, 2017!
If you have not been to the Creativity Shell or do not know about this amazing 501 (c)(3) organization in Kingwood, they are on a mission to use creative trades to educate and inspire the next generation of makers!
Founded in 2015 by Kingwood resident and Educational Psychologist Shelancia Daniel, the organization uses crafts such as sewing/textile arts to teach practical skills to kids in schools, public libraries and shelters that rescue children from homelessness and human trafficking.
The Creativity Shell 1-Year Birthday Party will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at the Creativity Shell Studio/Makerspace at 1570 Kingwood Drive. (Next to Embody Fitness.) There will be a free craft/sewing project for kids to work on as well as food and drinks!
Registration is FREE but required so the organization can prepare enough projects for the kids. Guests will also be able to register for up-coming classes at the Creativity Shell and find out more information on a special campaign that students can get involved in! Hope to see you all there!
