Creativity Shell to Teach Sewing/Textile Arts at Groves Elementary School on Wednesday’s!
The Creativity Shell Mobile Studio “Jerry” will be teaching sewing/textile arts classes on Wednesday’s at Groves Elementary School in Atascocita!
There will be two classes available from 3:30 PM – 4:30 PM and from 4:45 PM -5:45 PM. The classes will be a mix of a beginner and intermediate sewing. These classes will be great for children who are learning how to sew and/or are still working on some of the fundamental skills in sewing such as patience, problem solving, decision making and strengthening fine motor skills. Students enrolled in this class that already have some sewing experience, will be have additional elements such as zippers added to their projects to increase the levels of difficulty.
Classes begin Wednesday, January 9, 2019 and end Wednesday, April 24, 2019. This cost of the classes is $225/ 15-Week Semester (all materials and supplies are included). All children enrolled in the Creativity Shell’s Spring 2019 semester are eligible to showcase their designs in the organization’s annual fashion show “Creativity Rocks” on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at the Humble Civic Center.

- Students from West Lake Middle School are more than welcome to enroll in the 4:45 class!
- Classes are open to all children in the neighborhood, even if they do not attend Groves Elementary.
