Learn to SEW cosplay costumes!

The Creativity Shell invites you to join us this Spring Break for a week of creative, cosplay fun!  Students will learn to sew a variety of decorations, trims and other wearable items to make cosplay costumes. Sewing instructors will be on hand to guide students through the sewing process.

This class is open to students ages 7 – 18. No sewing experience is necessary, our instructors will guide you through the creative sewing process. There will be a maximum of 10 students for this class.

This camp runs from March 13, 2017 – March 17, 2017 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. daily.
(Students should bring a lightly packed, non-sticky lunch)

Monday: Introduction to the sewing machine/Sewing machine basics.

Tuesday: Shirts/Skirts/Pants
In this class, we are going to be making shirts and pants/skirts!

Wednesday: Wear your wig to class day!

Thursday: Accessories

  •  Learn to sew and decorate different accessories
  • Some examples are Mermaid Tails, Elizabethan Ruffs, Gloves, Chokers, Bags and more!
  • Students should leave this class with a variety of different costume accessories.

 Friday: Costume Central!

** Fabrics, supplies and sewing machines will be provided.  If you would like to make something specific, you are always welcome to bring your own fabrics.

The Creativity Shell is a registered 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization.  All proceeds from this event will be used to pay for the cost of Creativity Shell sewing/textile arts programs in public libraries, schools and shelters that rescue children from homeless and human trafficking.
